CZARNECKI ACTS AS FACILITATOR AT GOVERNANCE CONFERENCE
BOCA RATON, Fla.-- Gerald Czarnecki, Chairman and CEO of the
Deltennium Group, acted as a facilitator during the 2004 Annual
Corporate Governance Conference held October 17-19 in Washington
D.C.
Entitled "Board Leadership: Evolution or Revolution", the 2004
conference focused on the evolution of leadership in the aftermath
of the major corporate reforms and the proactive revolution that
is required not just for compliance, but for regaining public
confidence and dealing with critical issues such as shareholder
relations and executive compensation practices. Czarnecki was
selected to act as a facilitator due to his expertise and ongoing
role as a leader of in-boardroom and public seminars that address
the current compliance and governance challenges facing boards
of directors.
The conference was hosted by the National Association of Corporate
Directors (NACD), an independent not-for-profit organization
founded in 1977 and dedicated to serving the corporate governance
needs of directors and boards. The organization conducts educational
programs and standard-setting research, and provides information
and guidance on a variety of board governance issues and practices.
Czarnecki is a member of the NACD's teaching faculty, all of
whom are approved by the NACD to lead governance programs that
are accredited by ISS (Institutional Shareholder Services) as "Preferred
Boardroom Education Programs."
Czarnecki's current professional activities include his role
at the Deltennium Group as consultant, investor, professional
speaker and author. Headquartered in Boca Raton , the Deltennium
Group engages in consulting, training, speaking, researching
and investing to further its mission of helping leaders and organizations
achieve peak performance.
Czarnecki is also a member of the boards of directors of State
Farm Insurance (where he serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee)
and State Farm Bank. He has a long-standing commitment to Junior
Achievement, and is currently on the Executive Committee and
Chairman of the Operations Committee, the Pension Committee and
the Compensation Committee of Junior Achievement Worldwide, Inc. |
